Polypropylene yarns
Polypropylene yarns PROLEN®, alongside polyamide and polyester yarns, form a fundamental raw material base for the textile industry. Polypropylene yarns are produced in a wide range of colors from dyed fiber-forming pulp.
Benefits:

- Ultra-lightweight fibre – about 50% lighter than cotton, improving comfort, freedom of movement and reducing garment weight.
- Thermal comfort – very low thermal conductivity and excellent insulation comparable only with wool help maintain an optimal body temperature in various conditions.
- High durability – highly resistant to abrasion, tension and tearing, with abrasion resistance up to 2.5× higher than cotton or wool.
- Skin-friendly and hygienic – chemically inert and hypoallergenic helping reduce unpleasant odours. Special antibacterial PROLEN® Siltex yarn with additive comprising of silver ions further impedes bacterial growth and curbs viral activity.
Applications:
- the production of fibers, knitwear, and fabrics, either in 100% or covered or intermingled with other yarns,
- the production of hosiery (tights, leggings, socks),
- the production of haberdashery,
- hygienic products,
- technical products (ropes, cords, tapes, geotextiles),
- the production of medical supplies for urological, dermatological, and rheumatic patients.
