Polypropylene yarns

Polypropylene yarns PROLEN®, alongside polyamide and polyester yarns, form a fundamental raw material base for the textile industry. Polypropylene yarns are produced in a wide range of colors from dyed fiber-forming pulp.

Benefits:

• Advanced moisture management & fast drying – PROLEN® absorbs almost no water and efficiently transports moisture away from the skin, keeping garments dry and comfortable.
• Ultra-lightweight fibre – about 50% lighter than cotton, improving comfort, freedom of movement and reducing garment weight.
• Thermal comfort – very low thermal conductivity and excellent insulation comparable only with wool help maintain an optimal body temperature in various conditions.
• High durability – highly resistant to abrasion, tension and tearing, with abrasion resistance up to 2.5× higher than cotton or wool.
• Skin-friendly and hygienic – chemically inert and hypoallergenic helping reduce unpleasant odours. Special antibacterial PROLEN® Siltex yarn with additive comprising of silver ions further impedes bacterial growth and curbs viral activity.

Applications:

• the production of fibers, knitwear, and fabrics, either in 100% or covered or intermingled with other yarns,
• the production of hosiery (tights, leggings, socks),
• the production of haberdashery,
• hygienic products,
• technical products (ropes, cords, tapes, geotextiles),
• the production of medical supplies for urological, dermatological, and rheumatic patients.
